This was Scot's first year back to the Federal Duck Stamp Competition after winning it for the first time in 2004 (winners are required to be ineligible for three years). The contest was recently judged in mid-October with 249 entries. After the final round, Scot found himself in a three-way tie for first with Joe Hautman and Harold Rowe, prompting a tie-breaking round of which he finished 3rd. So close! "This was the most exciting Duck Stamp contest in history," said H. Dale Hall, Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. "To have a three-way tie for first place...was fantastic."
