Scot won the North Carolina Duck Stamp competition for 2008.
Scot is once again in contention for Ducks Unlimited International Artist of the Year for 2009 with his "Resting Place - Wood Ducks"(see image below). Public voting for this coveted title can be done by logging on to www.DUCKS.ORG/2009ARTISTVOTE found on page 35 of the January/February issue of DU and will be open until February 15th. Scot is also noted in other various articles in this same issue that are listed on the following pages: 8, 16, 44 & 45, and 61-63.

Scot is currently featured in an article in this month's Nov./Dec. 2007 of SPORTING CLASSICS magazine. We are very pleased with the results and the impact of the color layouts of his images. This was Scot's first year back to the Federal Duck Stamp Competition after winning it for the first time in 2004 (winners are required to be ineligible for three years). The contest was recently judged in mid-October with 249 entries. After the final round, Scot found himself in a three-way tie for first with Joe Hautman and Harold Rowe, prompting a tie-breaking round of which he finished 3rd. So close! "This was the most exciting Duck Stamp contest in history," said H. Dale Hall, Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. "To have a three-way tie for first place...was fantastic."
In March of this year, Scot was picked as one of the finalists for the Ducks Unlimited International Artist of the Year competition with his image "Closing Minutes" and finished in 2nd place. Top honors went to Anthony Padgett...congratulations to him. | | | 2007 Oklahoma Cenntential Duck Print | Scot was commissioned to design the very last Oklahoma Duck Print earlier this year which is titled, "Mallards at Hackberry Flat". He was proud to have been bestowed with this honor and happy to see that the regular edition sold out quickly.
Scot's "Backwater" duck images are now on a stunning set of dinnerware! Beautiful!
