NEW Original Painting: “Bering Kings”

I had the opportunity several years ago, in January, to travel to St. Paul Island in the Bering Sea. The trip was to collect reference for a commissioned painting of king eiders, called “Island X Dreams”. Print version is also available.
I had the opportunity to see thousands of king eiders. Some days it was slow seeing them but, I did see some every day. However, the vast majority of kings were seen when were out in a small boat on the north end of the island. It was a day that I thought in king eider heaven.
This new image, “Bering Kings”, is the result of that trip as well. Obviously, its a painting of king eiders but I also included a pacific eider, which is relatively rare to see there but it does happen.
