Scot’s Inspiration:
“This is another one I have had in my head for quite a while. A few years ago, I experienced a scene like this while hunting deer in Iowa. Preseason, on trail cameras, we saw a lot a great bucks living on all the farms. Although I didn’t see this big buck that is portrayed in the painting, one evening, I had the pheasants feeding in the field when the doe and fawn came out to join them. All I could think of and imagine is a “once in a life-time” buck would be following them out at any moment. I sat there in the tree stand with great anticipation that a dream could be fulfilled. However, fate had other plans and that dream buck is still in that woods and in my dreams.” - Scot
